Award winning family run food manufacturer, Laila’s Fine Foods are now recruiting for a Warehouse / Goods in Manager at their modern, purpose built factory in Bispham, Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to join an established company who are synonymous for producing quality Chilled and Frozen products to the UK Retails and Foodservice markets . As Warehouse / Goods in Manager you will be managing the logistics and site service functions through the use of KPIs to ensure 100% customer service, optimum capacity utilisation and attainment of targeted labour efficiency.
You will be a key member of the warehousing team and will be responsible for all aspects of receiving, off-loading and weighing of goods. You will ensure the timely and accurate completion of documentation and be responsible for the storage and issuing of raw materials to the factory and raw order production. In addition, you will ensure that the goods in areas meet the company’s health and safety standards, that staff conduct themselves in a safe and professional manner, ensure correct and full stock is captured, supervise the receiving of goods, ensure sufficient staffing levels, overseeing stock rotation, ensure that all documentation and labelling of the goods is carried out to the current procedures and closely monitor the working of the team to achieve 100% efficiency and bring improvements to increase the performance.
To be considered for the Goods In Manager job, you will possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role within food manufacturing; preferably within a chilled environment. You will have demonstrable knowledge of supervising and motivating people, an in-depth working knowledge of goods-in functions and ideally hold Basic Food Hygiene, Basic Health & Safety and Manual Handling certificates/training.
