Stock Controller

We are a growing food manufacturer based in Lancashire who are well known in our sector and are looking for an experienced full time Stock Controller to join our team. This is a new role created in order to help us deliver on and exceed current and future growth targets.

Stock Controller Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Stock Control team
  • Investigate and report any stock related issues
  • Recording stock details for each consignment during the unloading process
  • Receipt stock as per delivery and advise on any discrepancies at point of arrival / unloading to Sales Administration Team
  • Ensure Inloading Team constantly work to H&S processes and procedures
  • To use Forklift / Pallet trucks to unload deliveries where needed
  • Direct liaison with Factory Controller on their stock requirement
  • Issue stock in quantities advised on the daily planning sheet in a timely manner
  • Request documentation for any stock required over and above the daily planning sheet
  • Carry out daily stock count and update stock spread sheet with all relevant information

The Ideal Stock Controller:

  • Previous experience of a Stock Control role or similar
  • Experience managing or supervising people
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Excellent multi-tasker
  • Ability to work well under pressure
