We are a successful, family run manufacturer of chilled and frozen ready meals for the UK retail and foodservice sectors. Having recently spent over £7m on a state of the art factory extension that has taken our production from 40 tonnes to 60 tonnes per day we are looking to add a Purchasing Administrator to our food manufacturing operation – strong administration and interpersonal skills essential.

The Role:
You will be tasked with supporting the Procurement team with strong administration whilst maintaining customer service levels and expectations. The role will involve stock management, keeping the booking in sheet up to date, managing supplier deliveries and updating reports. Essentially you will need to work closely with internal colleagues and suppliers to improve the supply chain and ensure manufacturing department have all the raw materials they need for that day’s production.

The Candidate:
An experienced purchasing administrator from a food or FMCG manufacturing environment would be ideal
Certificate in Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is desirable
Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office packages)
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment
Extensive administration experience
Comfortable speaking on the telephone
