Laila’s Fine Foods is a leading, independently-owned manufacturer in the chilled and frozen ready meal market, specialising in developing private label products for some of the UK’s best-known foodservice organisations and grocery retailers including Iceland and Lidl who sell our products to consumers under their respective retail brands.
As a Weekend Electrical Maintenance Engineer, the purpose of your role is to maintain the reliability of processing and packing equipment using PPM and CI.
You will lead the development of automation in processing, resolve breakdowns, investigate cause and identify preventative improvements, proactively monitor and maintain processing and packing equipment, service equipment to a PPM programme, maintain the reliability of other site plant, update equipment instructions and manuals as required, contribute to project management and proactively identify energy saving and waste reduction initiatives.
You will possess a good engineering / maintenance track record and have a background of working within food manufacturing or FMCG industries. You will possess competency in 17th/18th edition regulations, be experienced in PLC fault finding and have automated packing and processing equipment expertise (ideally with some robotics knowledge). You will also have an understanding of pneumatics systems and lean/CI systems.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer job is based in Bispham, Lancashire and is paying £35,000 – £40,000 pro rata to the hours of 07:00 – 17:00 on a Saturday and 08:00-16:00 on a Sunday each weekend.
